Honestly, when I first heard that our service learning project was to visit the
kids at delta senior school, I was feeling like 'okay this is easy'. However, when we reached the place, I started to feel nervous as I did not know what to expect or how the students will react to us.
At first glance, they look normal and and all of the thoughts of them being maybe too 'passionate' was dismissed when we started to play sports with them. They showed alot of energy and passion for the game and you could see that they were having lots of fun. Although we were giving in to them, I feel that we might not beat them even if we played at our best. Haha.
In overall, I think that it is a good experience as I never had the chance to interact with these autistic kids and it really widen my spectrum towards people like them who could all have very gifted talents. I had a lot of fun and i would love to visit them again.
